As Logistics Specialist At Promet AG, you will be the hub of the entire flow of goods in the warehouse and, at the same time, the link between our internal and external customers. During the three years of your apprenticeship, you will work in the various logistics departments and gain an understanding of all the tasks involved in the role. You will be taught all the fundamentals during a total of 25 days of classroom training. Using the computerised ERP system, you will ensure that the right goods, in the right quantity, at the right time and of the right quality, reach the right place, whilst keeping costs in mind.

You will also be responsible for loading and unloading lorries and carrying out the initial inspection of delivered goods. Using industrial trucks (forklift licence to be obtained in the first year of your apprenticeship), you will store items in our warehouse and prepare orders for collection or dispatch.

Educational requirements:
To undertake an apprenticeship as a logistics specialist (EFZ), you need to have completed compulsory schooling, achieving a middle or upper level of attainment. A good knowledge of German and mathematics is essential, as your day-to-day work will involve a great deal of calculation, documentation and working with computer systems.

Personal requirements:
As a Logistics Specialist (EFZ), you should be reliable, responsible and a good team player. Physical stamina, organisational skills and a meticulous approach to work are also important.

As Production Mechanic (EFZ) During your first two years at Promet AG, you will acquire all the basic skills across various departments. In the inter-company courses (ÜK) – totalling 44 days spread across four modules – vocational trainers will show you how to machine workpieces using various machining and joining techniques such as drilling, turning, milling and grinding. At the end of the two-year basic training, you will be able to manufacture individual parts on CNC-controlled machines according to specified drawings and to operate and maintain various machines professionally. At the end of the second year of your apprenticeship, you will sit a partial examination, thereby completing the first part of your practical examination.

In your third year of training, you will begin your specialisation. You will undertake this over the course of a full year in a production department. During this time, you will be supervised by experienced trainers and prepared for your IPA (individual production work).

You have successfully completed primary school and achieved good results in mathematics.

Personal requirements:
You have an interest in technology and enjoy working with production machinery. You also have a good understanding of technical matters, manual dexterity and a practical mindset. Patience and perseverance are also among your strengths.
